The Purpose and Power of the Joy of God

Psalm 16

We live for pleasure.  The world we live in is driven by pleasure.  There are extreme athletes who are obsessed with finding pleasure through elevating their adrenaline to the point that they are referred to as adrenaline junkies.  We seek to find the greatest happiness and joy at all times and in all situations.  James tells us that “You lust and do not have; so you commit murder. You are envious and cannot obtain; so you fight and quarrel. You do not have because you do not ask. You ask and do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it on your pleasures.”
